In a classroom with 45+ beginning band students all learning their musical instruments for the first time can be quite a jam fest! I teach at 3 different elementary schools and our classrooms are not equipped with sound proofing padding so every sound is truly amplified, the wrong notes and the right ones! Recordings and audio that I try to play during their single pitch matching is simply not loud enough. I am requesting sound bars in my bandroom because the speaker systems we currently have can not produce enough sound for the students to hear the fundamental sound they are striving to match to. There are numerous music apps I have downloaded on my tablet that allow the students opportunities to enhance their musical abilities through this new age of technology. Our current speakers do not allow our students the audio they need to successfully improve their listening/aural skills, accurately match the correct note on their instrument, or interpret their music theory. With your help, our students will have a chance to play their instruments at the same time as hearing a full sounding, balanced, audio of concert pitch notes, steady beating tempo, and the chance to experience outstanding performances by professional musicians with quality sound!
