Having an exam reader pen will enable my students to have exams read to them in subjects such as social studies and science while remaining in the general education classroom. These tests usually require them to be pulled out of their class, sometimes during times when they are missing instruction, to have someone read the questions to them. Being able to stay in class with their peers would help my students feel confident and capable. Using a reader pen will enable us, as teachers, to focus on what they know in those subjects, not whether or not they can read the questions.
