The listening area will help them listen to classic stories like The Three Bears on a comfortable seating area with writing materials to reflect and develop their comprehension. My students are entering the country for the first time! All 23 students are low income families and with limited resources. Seating cushions, classic read along stories and beginning writing materials are essential to my scholars! In Kindergarten they're still learning how to listen, write and picture read stories by the time they leave Kindergarten they must be able to read and write about their stories. Setting up the listening area is a major milestone for my English Language Learners. My students are learning how write and with the beginner pencils and the extra writing space that's specifically designed for Kindergartners are perfect for developing writers!
