The materials that I have asked for will help me start teaching reading with phonemic awareness and the Science of Reading components. The blending tub will allow me to show the object that I am asking them to segment with a visual. This product will also help the students increase their vocabulary by seeing the picture of the word I am saying. The magnetic ten frames will help the students understand that words are made up of sounds and these sounds make up the words we say. They will move the counters to show each sound that they hear in the word. I will then move on to phonics, reading and writing. The other materials I have asked for will help them with these next components of beginning reading.
