Packing my morning tubs with hands-on fun activities will help get my students' brains ready to learn for the day. It will also provide them with time to work independently. Students with special needs struggle to work independently and that is an important skill to have as they transition to adulthood. These items to fill the morning tubs will enhance and promote their creativity and imaginary play. Examples of the items I would use the funding for are Cossy STEM Learning Toy Engineering Construction Building Blocks, KABOOCHY Rainbow Counting Bears with Matching Sorting Cups, and ETA hand2mind Alphabet Linking Letter and Word Building Cubes. It is my hope that having morning tubs will get my students ready to learn for the day. The goal is that they can get a task that they can work on independently for 15-20 minutes which will help fulfill many of their transitions goals.
