These reading buddies will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I have have created. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy and they always look forward to using. During our Daily 5 rotation, I want them to practice reading independently. Currently, my class has two reading buddies that they share and sometimes it is a challenge for them to have the patience to wait for their turn. I envision my students being able to choose a reading buddy which will help them continue to enjoy reading time. In addition, I believe that their buddy will give them someone to practice their emerging phonemic awareness with.
