This project will allow my emerging readers to practice new reading skills and strategies at levels that are just right for them. Reading success comes with access to texts of all types. I have intentionally selected a span of guided reading levels to support small group intervention in my classroom. With a diverse span of reading readiness, ranging from 2nd to 9th grade, comes the need for a diverse span of text levels. Although students choose their texts for independent reading, they need at-level, high-interest instructional materials in order to make the most growth possible. I am including both fiction and non-fiction texts so students can apply high-level thinking strategies to texts they can access with confidence. These resources will move my emerging readers from a place of frustration to a land of confidence and growth!
