Students in my special education English classes are asking for new books for our classroom library. We read silently every day during class, and students can choose the books they would like to read during this time. Due to the varying reading levels and abilities of my students, the titles available at our high school library are sometimes too difficult. The titles listed for purchase were put into our classroom "Book Wish List" box by students. By adding titles to our classroom library that are specifically requested by students, the books are guaranteed to be read, enjoyed, and reread by subsequent classes.
