Our plan is to create a library/play area that resembles a campsite. With the rug, tent, stickers, and other materials we will have the basics. Using the cardboard tools, we will create the rest - a tree or two, a campfire, and more. I feel the love of reading is the most important thing I can teach my students. Giving them an area to explore ideas and books will help that process tremendously. I tried to make most of the manipulatives requested nature-based, however I put in a few there, like the straws and connectors, to encourage innovation and building. I envision students using the straws to make mini-tents and structures that we can put up and take down during center activities. Thanks!
