With these hands on materials, my students will be able to be engaged while practicing basic foundational skills. The games will be able to be played in a small group setting, which will also promote social emotional skills like taking turns, patience, and good sportsmanship. Having different meaningful activities during centers will help reinforce already taught material. Having their own math manipulatives to use, like tens frames, counters, and base ten blocks, will help keep my students engaged. This will also be able to help my students understand concepts at a deeper level.
