Right now, we are disrupted by remote learning, and since every kid does not have his/her own book, it has been difficult (but not impossible) to keep the momentum going. Many of our texts have online, digital versions, but I have found that students prefer to have a paper copy that they can mark with notes on sticky notes. If they had their own copies, they could annotate easier. Beyond all of the logistical issues, however, I just really want these kids to own a couple books of their own.
