Comprehension is the key to success in school. For some students, language comprehension is difficult. These materials will help my struggling students learn and use strategies to aid in understanding language. My students have receptive language delays, which makes it hard for them to understand grade level text, learn new vocabulary, and independently use strategies for comprehension. These materials will support my struggling students by providing opportunities to practice comprehension skills with the use of visuals. The white board is a great resource for all classrooms so that important information can be recorded and students can refer back to it when needed. The ink cartridges will allow me to print visuals to support students when completing various language-based tasks (answer questions, defining vocabulary, producing complete sentences). The comprehension materials, such as the Can Do games and Comprehension Boost activities are fun and engaging tools that will improve students' receptive language skills.
