The donation to assist me in attending this training will allow me to better serve the students that are part of the LGBTQ community. Discovering and finding your identity in middle school is challenging and a crucial time in a child’s life. By attending this training, I can provide competent and sensitive care to my students, as well as evidence based and updated practices. I hope to bring back my knowledge and resources to district wide and department meetings in order to provide training for all staff in this area. I will also have the opportunity to make connections and collaborate with our professionals on how to further grow and develop my skills. This training will provide me information as to how to build a more accepting school and further develop the LGBTQ Alliance group I started last year.
