We love dancing and singing in my classroom. I want my students to be able to participate to the fullest, in any way they can or desire. Their favorite song is the Hokey Pokey and we sing it almost every day. For many of my students, it would mean the world to have another way to interact with the music. Rhythm can be helpful with learning in so many ways, from learning syllables to how to count items in math lessons. We also have a variety of cultures and backgrounds represented in the classroom and to have an instrument from a peer's culture would provide an exciting opportunity for another connection to the world around them.

About my class
