Do you remember sitting in a math or science classroom and your graphing calculator dying? Having to wait till you get home to get more batteries? Do you remember trying to figure out which line goes with which equation? With the TI-84 Plus CE rechargeable calculators, we will be able to save a lot of money from cost of purchasing batteries. Also these calculators can be plugged into the students' computers at any time to recharge using their USB port. This calculator is a vital tool for my students to be competitive with other students on tests, finals, state Missouri EOC tests, and ACT/SAT. Being able to have access to technology that other schools are utilizing will help us to bridge the gap for my lower socioeconomic students that don't have access to this advanced technology. In the past we have used free programs on the internet; however, these programs cannot be used on state and national tests. Therefore, giving my students a huge disadvantage. The TI-84 Plus CE calculators have color screens so the graphs can be distinguished between the different equations. This is a huge advantage over the archaic TI-83 graphing calculators. This feature is very helpful when exploring transformations which is a critical STEM standard in today's technological age. Please help support my students.
