The jump ropes will be for students to use at home. Having a jump rope at home will allow students more opportunities to be physically active and help them to reach their daily activity goal of 60 minutes as well as providing the motivation to be active because jumping rope is fun. It will also allow them access to the equipment needed in several PE class activities. It has been well documented that physical activity has many benefits for children. It not only reduces stress, but can help students to focus and retain information, therefore, helping with academic performance. Active children learn better. By donating to our project, you will give our students a resource to help them stay active and fit at home and have fun doing it. They can use their jump rope anytime they choose and not have to wait until they go back to school to check one out or wait until recess or PE class.
