These materials will help my students become aware of other cultures and customs. I want to help them see how we can celebrate the diversity and accept all people regardless of appearance. The students will use the materials to share and experience the many different cultures of the world. They will use the diversity components to explore and understand what makes people alike and how we can better understand how to communicate with each other. Helping students see what is special and unique in all people and races creates an environment of compassion. We can explore the differences and similarities that the cultures share. In the Pre-K classroom, we celebrate learning through play. Students are excited to learn what makes them unique and what we share in common. When they are in a safe environment and accepted, they are able to fully belong to the classroom
