Our school is a Title I school and consists of many students that are part of low-income families. The school is trying to reach the community and let them know how wonderful our school is. We are a K-8 Center and are adding programs to help reach all our students. I put together a team of girls to represent our school through dance and cheer. We have not had a team like this at our school and would love to be able to make this goal happen. I have had a few girls tell me how they now feel motivated to keep their grades up so they can remain in the team. This is another good reason why this team is so important and necessary. I do not want any girl to feel left out because they can not afford to pay for a cheerleading/dance gear but have the talent to be part of the team. Accessories will be used for our school related events such as sport competitions, special activities day, pep rallies, community involvement, etc.
