We have a new program we are using to access our students in reading. It is called iReady reading. It pinpoints exactly where the students are struggling and generates lessons that focus on the specific skills each student needs to work on. I only have iPads in my intervention classroom right now. iPads do not support the iReady program and the iPads that I have are outdated. We are requesting five Chromebooks which would allow me to utilize this program with my struggling readers in intervention. This program guarantees a 38% growth in reading if it is used for 45 minutes each week. My students will get to benefit from this program in my class for 10 to 15 minutes per day every day if I can gain access to Chromebooks for my students.
