Placing a brightly colored rug in the middle of my space will bring a ray of sunshine to my rugged classroom and underlying carpet. Also, having a nice rug will offer my students a clean spot to sit on and to read with a partner or independently. They will also have a lined square on the carpet where they can keep their math manipulatives such as clocks, cubes and base ten blocks. Finally, I know every student will be overjoyed to meet me on the carpet for lessons, meetings and work time. Thank you so very much for your generosity!
