The use of xylophones and metallophones in a student's music education is crucial. Being able to play on barred instruments such as xylophones and metallophones allows for exploration, improvisation, and play. These elements of music that barred instruments provide are important and developmentally appropriate for elementary students. Our current music program has 3 soprano xylophones and 3 glockenspiels. My goal is to raise over $1400 so that our music program may be able to purchase 3 brand new alto metallophones so that more students at the school may have an opportunity to play this wonderful instrument. Thank you so much for helping me reach my goal and for contributing towards the students in the Whitestone, Queens community.
