Our school is currently in the beginning stages of transitioning from an elementary to a middle school in the urban east-side of Oklahoma City. With a deeply routed and rich history in its neighborhood, it has been looked over for many years in the school restructuring process with many of its students coming from low socio-economic homes. My students will use these materials to build a successful arts integration program that incorporates vocal and instrumental music performance, music theory, creativity and artistic expression routed in the foundation of musical integrity. Students will learn piano, singing, music technology and performance techniques.

About my class
