We are a dual-immersion bilingual program in Spanish & English. That means our 24 students receive half of their instruction during the day in English, and half of their instruction in Spanish. Our tight-knit community is made up 15 English learners and 9 English-only students. Our students understand that learning in two languages means putting in twice the work. Whereas students in other classrooms may only have Guided Reading in one language each day, we get it twice! The students in our program are some of the hardest-working kids I've ever met, so as a teacher I want to make sure that I take every opportunity to foster their growth and satisfy their curiosity. Incorporating hands-on experiences in science, technology, and the arts is one of many foundations of our learning. Please help us in supporting this instruction, so we can help create a generation of well-rounded and impactful thinkers!
