Our class needs materials to participate in a financial literacy program where students will actively become a member in a mock banking system. Our students will earn, spend, and save money in a class situation. They will learn step by step procedures for keeping a checking account and a debit card. Students will learn about earning and spending as they complete jobs in the classroom. Children are never to young to begin learning about how to handle money. We will use the laminator and laminating sheets to add protection to our cards and paper money. The clicker will help navigate through the lesson presentations easily. Financial literacy is a great life lesson even for students as young as mine. Using money to learn about math is a great tool. They will learn about spending and saving to buy items. Students will learn about addition and subtraction in a fun hands-on way. The lessons they learn in first grade will follow them through their school career.
