In our first grade classrooms we use money to help encourage being respectful and responsible to adults and their classmates. They can earn money for being on task, remembering to bring their folders back each day, showing kindness to each other, and helping to keep our learning environment clean . . . just to name a few. In addition, we are learning how our monetary system works, and how to accurately identify and count money. Making the right choice, and always being kind can be tough at times, rewarding these choices helps my students see just how important these choices are. The items I'm asking for are ones that will grab our students' attention, and motivate them to earn more money! These include Legos, squishes, Play-Doh, journals, and more! These items are some of our second graders' favorites that they will be excited to purchase with their money.
