Learning to regulate our feelings is a daily task for my young students. Sometimes they get overwhelmed and need a way to calm down. Having sensory activities can help calm a child's anxiety, increase focus, and reduce behavior problems. Incorporating a sensory-friendly space for struggling students allows them to regulate their own feelings and meet the needs they are experiencing at the time. With your generous donations, we will be able to equip the students with items and activities in a space where they can get a much-needed break. They will be able to use the Airplane Activity Wall Panels when they are seeking sensory input. They also can choose to use the Tufted Meditation Pillow or the Big Joe Classic Beanbag when needing an alternate seating to cool down. Providing them with options, will enable them to explore and allow them to regulate their feelings independently.
