These supplies will allow students to learn how to draft a space accurately and completely. They will use these supplies to work with real-life clients throughout our community. Through building a physical and online portfolio students will learn the necessary drafting skills to communicate effectively with clients, provide a portfolio to use for applications and interviews and learn how to create spaces that are functional and aesthetically pleasing. Students will learn a variety of professional skills and will be much more prepared to enter the professional world right out of high school after participating in the building of these portfolios. The triangles and templates mentioned below are essential tools for the draftsmen. The students will be using them to create renderings, floor plans and construction drawings. The markers will be used to plan, brainstorm and add color to our final renderings. The scanner will allow us to scan every drawing so that the students create so that they can create a professional online portfolio. Through this process students will build their critical thinking, creativity and many more skills that employers are looking for.
