Our goal is to bring more cultural awareness and diversity into our classroom. We would love to do this by adding dress up clothes that represent the different jobs in our community. We come from a small farming community with very little exposure to the world past the village sign. Adding the social emotional mirrors and puppets will give our children the chance to see that people may look differently on the outside but all share the same basic emotions. We know that these materials will make a huge impact on our children in building a sense of community and helping them to transition away from their loved ones at drop off time.
