Our scientists will be using the calculators to find the mass, volume, and density of different objects. They will each receive a cube and will need to use a triple beam balance to calculate the mass, a ruler to calculate the volume, and will need calculators to determine the density of the object. Our 8th graders will be building balls and ramps and will come up with their own scientific questions, form hypotheses, and test their theories by changing different variables in their experiments. They will be using the calculators for measurement and to collect data.
