For the past few years, I have been wanting to incorporate music and movement into my students' lives. I know that music increases memory, improves sleep, reduces stress, helps with focus, and promotes a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy seeing my students engaged and excited. Every time I have played a Zumba song and taught the students the choreography that accompanies it, they light up. They constantly beg me to play it over and over, and many even give up their lunch and/or recess to come in and dance. They are caring for their bodies and challenging their minds as they learn the steps in a fun way that all can succeed at. I would love to be able to offer Zumba as an after-school program so more can participate, but to do so, I need access to a portable Bluetooth speaker and microphone that can project the music in our school multipurpose room. Thank you for helping make this a possibility.
