My students, like most students, all learn in different ways. Some like to sit up, some like to walk around, some like to sit at a desk, and others like to just sit in a chair. As I have gotten to know them better, I have realized one thing missing from my classroom: a comfortable space for them to learn! At this point I can tell my students feel safe as I always hope, but I would like to take it a step further and allow them to feel comfortable while they learn. The items we are hoping to purchase are alternative seating options such as a ball chair, rocking chair, and beanbags as well as a colorful rug and organizational bins to allow us to create a new space where they feel both safe and comfortable to learn.
