My students love science, but many students have a difficult time reading in science. At our school, many students are coming to us below grade level in reading and many of the assignments in class can be really frustrating for them to navigate. Having access to the Scholastic Science World would be an awesome addition to our science curriculum because it provides an easy access point for ALL readers. The articles in Scholastic Science World are very high interest and gain student interest quickly, they are also fairly short and students can easily read them in a short period of time. These magazines would be used by all of my science classes and be available to students when they finish their assignments and quizzes and when they early to class in the morning.
