My ELLs need practice with listening to and speaking English. Headsets with mics will give the tools necessary to practice both listening and speaking skills without the threat of feeling judged or "tested," before they are at a point where they feel comfortable speaking in front of a whole group or responding to conversations. The individual practice will build stamina. The projector I am requesting will allow my students to interact, using technology. I currently am working with a dry erase board. While effective, it doesn't give me an opportunity to interact the groups as whole while using technology. ESOL classrooms are supposed to be visual and filled with literature and technology that gives students access to videos, images, and resources that will help them learn the English Language in a more comprehensive and cognitive way. It will allow me to be their guide on the tech journey. I can facilitate research and resources so that their input is meaningful and advancing.
