My name is Mrs. B and I teach 4th grade in Idaho. This is my 2nd year teaching 4th grade students. My students and I conduct our learning experiences in a small portable. This year I decided to provide flexible seating as an option for students and to help open up space in our tight classroom. My students and I need YOUR HELP! Flexible seating shifts from traditional classroom desks and chairs. Instead students will have alternative options for seating, such as tables, special chairs, couches and more. Flexible seating arrangements encourage creativity, collaboration, encourages student engagement and strengthens student focus. My flexible seating wish list includes a variety of stools and chairs (including stability balls, wobble stools, floor seats and bean bag chairs). Flexible seating provides a learning option that is student centered.
