In a language classroom, students often struggle to go beyond just learning vocabulary words and being able to read and write well. My students need materials to bring the language to life through conversation and art projects. Each week, we use flashcards that I have made and laminated so that they can go around the classroom and engage other students in conversation. Unfortunately, my home-made materials don't last long, and I need card-stock and high-quality flashcards for my students to use. With the addition of clipboards that students can use to travel the room and interview one another, our classroom will sing with Spanish and students trying out this new language. I have multiple scenarios that allow students to get up out of their seats and use the language they are learning with their peers. I want to bring Spanish to life for them and these materials will help that happen in our classroom. Student white boards will allow for students to quickly respond to questions from me, and give me immediate feedback as to their current understanding. The art supplies that are included in this project will allow my students to describe and color the weather, the seasons, and countless other vocabulary topics and give them quality projects to take home and study from. I know that my students are hungry to excel in Spanish and I want to help them achieve!
