Our students need tubanos to provide more frequent opportunities for individual compositions instead of sharing instruments. Less time having to share with a partner equals more hands-on learning. These tubanos, which will be used by all 600 students in grades K-5, will help ignite a desire to create and perform for classmates and the community while building confidence and musical skills. This will help us perform pieces from different cultures while teaching students not just about musical concepts, but also about respect and tolerance of others. We are incredibly grateful for an engaging and supportive community, and we hope to use these drums to share music with them.

About my class
