My Social Skills students struggle with leisure skills and cooperatively playing with their peers. Learning to play a variety of games will help my kids learn how to handle losing, how to work cooperatively with their peers, and how to take turns. Game play also encourages communication for my kiddos with limited verbal abilities. Most of my students' math and reading abilities range from kindergarten to third grade level skills. Math, Reading & Writing Skills Folder Games for grades K-1 and 2-3 would have a great impact on my students' learning, facilitating social skills practice through game play. These games would be hugely beneficial to my students in developing their language arts and math skills while also targeting social skills. In Social Skills class, Classic Games for Beginners would also target social and leisure skills. Listening to fluent readers online has a huge impact on my students' reading development. My kids are working hard to develop their reading skills. If each student was able to have their own pair of headphones (Avid Products Lightweight On-Ear Headphones), I could increase the amount of time my kiddos are exposed to fluent reading. The amount of time students spend reading and listening to reading has a huge impact on kids' language development. These headphones would be an incredible gift. We greatly appreciate your support in helping our kids develop their reading skills, as well as their ability to work with their peers effectively, communicating their needs and taking turns. The first time a student reaches for a game (or asks a peer to play!) versus stimming or playing alone is HUGE! I can't thank you enough for your support in helping my kids develop leisure skills, reading skills, and build relationships with peers through game play.
