Our students in computer science are engaging in the MIT App inventor contest, designing apps to address a need in their communities. To test their apps, students write code in the MIT App inventor website and then must run their code on an Android-enabled tablet. Our FIRST robotics teams also use tablets or phones as an integral part of the robot control system. Not all of our students have their own phones, and we want to allow students to quickly test their ideas without relying on using their own mobile data. These three Samsung Galaxy tablets will allow students to test their app designs and program our robots more quickly and efficiently, teaching them the prototyping skills they'll need as future engineers.
