In eight years as a library media specialist in our small, rural town, I have never had the ability to bring an author to speak with our students. Due to several lucky circumstances, the right opportunity arose and we now have a famous middle grade author coming to our school in November. Her name is Beth Vrabel, and she is a writing rock star! My student want so badly to read her books before she comes to visit, but we only have one of each book in the library and most students can't afford to buy one on their own. I would love to give away 50 of Ms. Vrabel's books so that as many students as possible can read her book Pack of Dorks and fall in love with her entertaining writing. Given my limited funds, I can't afford to purchase these books on my own.
