Many of my students have been learning English for less than three years, which makes it difficult to navigate a library of predominantly English YA literature like we have at our high school. I distributed surveys to every class to get feedback on each book they have finished this year. The books I've selected are by the same authors or in the same series as those books rated as a perfect five stars by multiple students. These books will help build a classroom library filled with approachable English books and Spanish books to help them build their literacy skills while they learn English. These books will not only help them grow their love of reading, but make them feel more included in our school community.
