My students need hands-on learning experiences that not only develop literacy skills but also ensure that they are excited about learning. I strive to maximize the learning experience by appealing to various learning preferences, interests, and the senses! Hands-on learning is proven to lead to engagement and growth. I am requesting a sensory table which incorporates water, sand and more which allow students to play while learning (or learn while playing)! Our youngest learners are most successful when they are able to explore, build, and inquire throughout the school day. Sensory activities provide a balance to our technology-rich world and keep kids hands-on!
