These items will help meet my students' sensory needs at school. These items will be placed in the cool down / break area within the classroom to help my students decompress when upset or during their break time from work. Students with autism tend to get overwhelmed by the demands of the day and need frequent breaks to re-center themselves so that they can continue to learn. The ultimate goal is that the students recognize when they need a break and ask for the sensory item that will help them de-stress.

About my class
