My students participate in multiple lab exercises where they are analyzing DNA samples. These lab techniques are used throughout the world of biology - in forensics, in the medical field, in research and in ecology and conservation. However, we are currently very limited in our abilities to prepare and use the lab supplies properly. Right now, my students hope that we can get a clear result from our labs. The Micro Centrifuge would allow my students to prepare their DNA samples so that they can ensure they end up with results. My students also struggle to read the results because we use a homemade light box that was built years ago. The LED Light Box would help my students be able to read their lab results and draw more accurate conclusions.
