Our school is a small charter school with big hopes and dreams. Our students come to school with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds. We are an energetic bunch that loves making new discoveries in our learning. We focus on positive, interactive learning experiences that allow us to collaborate with our peers and to make connections to the world beyond the four walls of our classroom. We stress that we are all teachers and learners and are working on empowering our students to take charge of their own learning and to share their new knowledge with others, so they may gain from the learning as well. Our school focuses on student driven learning. We use a project based format to teach the students about STEM in a real world context. Our students take great pride in the connections they make with their projects and emphasize the global citizenship skills that will help them grow into the amazing leaders of tomorrow. Chromebooks would give our students a way to access information about the areas they are researching as well as documenting what they have learned and sharing it with others. Adding the ability to use a Chromebook will help them take their learning greater, farther and faster.
