My students need privacy partitions to assist them in focusing better during independent work. My students sit in groups, so they can turn and talk with one another to discuss concepts. This allows students to share their thinking with each other. However, when it is time to complete independent task, they are easily distracted. My students need a quiet place where they can focus, think, and work independently. Many of my first graders have not mastered how to focus their attention and ignore others, therefore the partitions will assist them in focusing on their own work. Sometimes my students rush through their work because they see others completing the task faster. My classroom is looking for privacy partitions and the partition holder. This will allow students to set up a quiet place.
