My students are 2nd graders that attend a rural school district that is considered high-poverty. My students do not have opportunities available to them that students in a bigger city might have. Many of the experiences that they will have in their lives will come from their experiences at school. Many of my students have never even been to a library, zoo, or museum. I try to help my students "visit" these places vicariously, oftentimes using my SmartBoard or PC. Our school is student-oriented and we try to meet the many needs of all of our students.
