The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in history. Using Google classroom, students can explore the vast historical resources on the web. Students who are usually stuck with book work and primary source documents can now explore the different viewpoints of events in a teacher-led discussion through the use of Chromebooks. Furthermore, Chromebooks will allow students to access historical documents that are not readily available to them locally. It is crucial students learn to navigate the Internet and be prepared to enter the global world. The school district has amazing resources set up through Atlas and iCivics.org, curriculum-based programs, allowing students to access curriculum through interactivate games and lessons. Chromebooks in my classroom will allow disadvantaged students to access these engaging programs daily and will increase their academic achievement.
