It is not easy for students to grasp the relationship between the parts of speech. Because of this, they have a difficult time creating effective sentences. Sometimes, though, frustration leads to inspiration. Using Legos as a teaching tool gets students excited and eager to learn. This project will help students to visualize the parts of a sentence and allow them to put all the pieces together to make effective sentences as well as correct faulty ones. The Lego project will help my students improve their understanding of word relationships and become better writers. Who knows, someday one them may work for Legos all because of a funded classroom project.
