These are tools not toys to help our students learn to self regulate their bodies so that they can be ready to learn. Many of our students are kinesthetic learners and need these sensory items for mental processing and in turn thes tools are empowering them to focus. We will utilize these items when students get dis-regulated and exhibit unexpected behavior. These items help calm our students. This is called proprioceptive input which simply put that when input comes in it comes in through muscles and joints of the body.
