The materials in this project are just the basic necessities of any classroom but are crucial. We will dissect primary resources and write thoughtful pieces that show our mastery of content. Students will use the notebook paper to create comprehensive notes to help them study. The colored pencils will be extremely useful is creating maps, drawing diagrams of thinking historically, as well as posters. I also included some amazing resources that I can incorporate into the classroom to increase reading literacy and comprehension, ensure that engagement in learning is at its highest as much as possible and to improve my craft of teaching to better serve my students. In social studies, we spend time delving into the past and making connections and it is vital that students are able to keep all of their information organized, and that is what the folders will do. I want students to walk in ready to learn without the concern of if they have the materials they need; they will be able to find comfort in knowing that Ms. Jones has their back and there is no need to sweat the small stuff like a highlighter or a pen.
